Alexis StoltzBorn: 2003Lives: Phoenix, AzI am a self-taught artist currently living in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in illustration and graphic design.For as long as I can remember, I have followed my passion for art, having been initially inspired by my love of animation. From a very young age, my deepest desire was to bring my own drawings to life for all to see, just as I had witnessed so many others do.I attended Huntington University in the hope of fulfilling that dream of becoming an animator, but soon found that God had other plans for my life. During the four semesters that I attended college I felt the call to instead switch my field of study from my beloved animation to graphic design, thus allowing me to participate in the arts, while retaining animation as a special part of my life.After leaving Huntington I became an apprentice at Arizona Christian Arts Ministries (AZcam), a local Christian theater organization, where I would not only design and create posters and artwork for each of their amazing productions, but where I would also be allowed to immerse myself in all aspects of the theatrical process, including – but not limited to – acting, directing, set design and costuming.
